Dark Horse Comics

“…the most successful Swedish artist working in the US comics business.” – Fredrik Strömberg, Seriefrämjandet

Peter has worked with Dark Horse Comics for almost 25 years, beginning with the Hellboy Sourcebook and Roleplaying Game. It was the beginning of a long relationship with Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden. It would be some time, however, before his first comic for the company. Eager to prove himself after, shall we say, a shaky start in the business, Peter set out to create his first graphic novel.

The Portent was released by Image Comics and featured introductions and forewords by Michael Kaluta and Brom. Mike Mignola also contributed a back-cover blurb, describing the book as “incredibly beautiful and strange.”

Image Comics and Others
Peter continued working with Image Comics and teamed up with Rick Remender for the last four issues of Strange Girl. Next came graphic novels for IDW, including Dark Sun: Ianto’s Tomb with Alexander Irvine, The Dunwich Horror with Joe R. Lansdale, and Crysis with Richard Morgan. Peter also released numerous graphic novels in Sweden, including a follow-up to Fast Cash with Jens Lapidus.

Dark Horse Comics
2013 saw the release of Domovoi, Peter’s first graphic novel for Dark Horse. While working on his next graphic novel, a follow up to The Portent, Peter was asked to do a test page for the ongoing Baltimore series by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden.

He was hired shortly after, following in the footsteps of Ben Stenbeck. A few years later, Peter took over artist duties on Joe Golem: Occult Detective from Patric Reynolds. Next up was the miniseries Outerverse featuring some of the characters from the previous books. Peter works with Mignola, Golden, and Thomas Sniegoski on the Hellboy universe title Frankenstein – New World.

A comic scene with humans wearing masks resembling mythical creatures, in a room with green walls, red curtains, and framed pictures. One character is being attacked or attacked others, with one holding a knife. The scene includes sound effects and a speech bubble.

The collaboration between Mignola, Golden, and Peter has resulted in over 50 comic books and nine graphic novels. For Dark Horse, Peter also illustrated Mortal Terror with Chris Golden and Tim Lebbon.
